The most critical day of their lives

I can’t believe it – another year gone, another book about to be published. Book number 7! This is crazy stuff but I can’t wait to send The Snowflake Army out into the world. It’s been a crazy few weeks trying to get the last minute edits in but I’m really excited to share the finished book with you all. I hope you love it as much as I loved writing it!

I always knew that after The Snowflake Trap, I’d be creating a trilogy. I just didn’t have an idea for what could happen, and there were a few thoughts dotted around, especially at COVID times when I heard the word ‘boomer remover’ used a lot. That certainly sparked something, but there’s another topical point that makes up the core of this book that actually came out around the same time as the book is set, in 2020. When you realise what it is, you’ll understand why I had to include it. That’s what set the book in course and helped me write the remainder of the series.

A lot happens in this book and it’s quite cyclical in a sense, but unlike the previous one, the focus is much broader. Now, the main trio are much harder and more determined – they’re the knowledgable ones and that puts them on a much more even level to the boomers who want to hurt them. They’ve done this before, so now they have to enlighten the rest of their generation. They meet some interesting characters along the way whom I’m sure you’ll love as much as the trio. And the way this lot interact with the trio also makes for a very different dynamic. Also, we’re moving out of Leasford and going broader around the country. All in all, it’s a very intense road trip on (as the title of this blog says) the most critical day of their lives.

But, like The Snowflake Trap, it’s a parody, so it’s not all heavy and there are some funny scenes in it. It’s amazing how resourceful millennials can be when push comes to shove. And it’s those little moments of relatability that really brings it to live. We’ve all been there and we’ll all recognise the scenarios these lot face. That’s what I love about this series – its utter relatability. Well, except the literal war. The metaphorical one, yes. That one’s still ongoing and there’s plenty that we can all learn from it, so you can expect some hard-hitting life lessons in there too between all the action, drama, tragedy and romance…? Yeah, there’s a bit of that too. Let’s just say there’s a few new ships in town (move over Dark and Paul!)

Please let me know your thoughts when you read it by leaving a review and it’d be great if you could spread the news. It’s always harder to promote the second book in a series as people need the background and you’re kind of selling a couple of books instead of one. So any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you so much for all your kind help and support. It’s weird to think that now this series is 2/3 done and almost out in the world. I bet you’ll be dying for that last one once you read the ending (sorry in advance). It’ll come around soon if this year is anything to go by!

Until Monday!

The Snowflake Army will be released on 18th September 2023! Book 1 of The Snowflake Series, The Snowflake Trap is OUT NOW, and the final instalment will be out next year! My other books The Signs Are Coming and The Luke Bright Series are also available to buy – check out their individual pages on my website for links.

Thank you for taking the time to read this blog post.
