The end of a series

These last few weeks have been crazy, and what’s been happening in the world has just been unacceptable. I’ve voiced my opinion, but in this week’s blog, I’m just going to step back a bit and go back to my books. I’m still hoping to publish A Long Lost Time this year, and in Luke’s alternate reality, we’re well into the book’s timeline now.

I suppose for me, having over a whole year between this book’s release and An Undercover Dream which came out last August he helped – one because it’s a huge book and needs more time, but secondly, it’s a big thing for me to publish the final book of this series. Luke’s been with me for over a decade and it’s going to be hard to close that chapter and know there’ll be no more books in The Luke Bright Series to publish next year. Although, I do have sequels and prequels I’m sure I could add to his story eventually (because I know I’ll never be done with it), it’s a weird feeling to know this will be it.

But it’s stranger not really knowing what the rest of the year is going to be like, or next year for that matter. Everything’s been flipped upside down, and what was normal is no longer normal, and we’ve all had to adjust. It’ll be strange going into the new year and seeing what the world looks like and what we will be able to do.

Either way, this long break has been good and it has been nice to not have to rush through a publishing process as intensely as before, even though the lulls are sometimes quite hard to fill. I think in terms of next year, I’ll probably remain slowed down and take some more time to write more rather than churn out books every year! We’ll see what happens.

But, as time draws on and the year goes even faster, I’ll be posting more about this series and increasing the anticipation that comes with this final book. After all, it deserves a really fitting bit of hype and I’m excited to see what you all think of it. I know it’s going to be emotional, but I’m looking forward to sharing this book with the world. After all, it’s proven to be a very fitting series currently and we could all learn a lot from Luke. I know I still am every day.

Atlantic Split, At Liberty To Live and An Undercover Dream, the first three books in The Luke Bright Series are available to purchase NOW! The final book of the series A Long Lost Time will be released in 2020!
