1ST OF THE MONTH – DECEMBER 2019

We’ve reached December and the countdown to the holiday season and 2020 has begun! It’s been another fantastic year so far so as usual, on the first day of each month, I’m discussing how my writing life is going so far and what I hope will happen in the month ahead.

Firstly, I’d like to share some statistics for November. I won’t share my book sales numbers, but let’s just say, it’s been a success so far, and I’m extremely thankful to everyone who has helped me get this far and bought a copy.

So, what happened in November? Well, I took on the challenge of Nanowrimo – or National Novel Writing Month, where I had to write a novel in the space of 30 days. It was a fantastic challenge and somehow it only took me 17 days to do. Now, I have an extremely interesting and topical first draft of a novel that I’m going to definitely go back to next year. However, my other work has been put on the sidelines for now, but all is going to change this month.

This December, I’m going back to The Luke Bright Series and I’ll be re-reading the first three books: Atlantic Split, At Liberty To Live and An Undercover Dream, and setting the scene for book 4 which will launch next year. There’s a lot of prep to do, but I’m extremely excited for what lies ahead, though a little sad that this will be the last book in The Luke Bright Series (for now.)

Finally, with each 1st of the month blog, I’m going to share a photo of a setting in one of my books and explain a little about it, without too many spoilers!

This image makes up one of the biggest action scenes right at the centre of An Undercover Dream. I won’t reveal too many details but it’s a pivotal moment for Luke and those around him because it changes everything…
