So it begins!

This year I’m taking part in Nanowrimo – or National Novel Writing Month! Every year, hundreds of thousands of writers take on the challenge of writing a 50,000 word ‘novel’ in the space of 30 days. I’ve been wanting to do this for many years, as it almost seems like the peak challenge of being a writer, so this year I’m going to give it my best shot and commit to the novel.

I’ve spent the last few weeks writing an extremely detailed plan of what I’m going to write about (that’s probably quite a lot of words in itself!) and now I can officially reveal to you the title and synopsis of my work in progress:

The Snowflake Trap

The struggle has never been more real.

Millennials. At times it feels like the world is against you, but what if it really was? One town is fed up of generation Y and takes drastic action by setting a trap to eradicate all its resident snowflakes.

When three millennials fall victim to the trap, they are left fighting their way through challenges designed to outsmart and eliminate them. However, they soon discover it isn’t just the trap that’s full of secrets as revelations come to light that push their friendship to the limits.

It’s tough being part of a generation where no one understands or appreciates what you’re going through, but it does come with one advantage. Being misunderstood means that you’re also severely underestimated. And whilst snowflakes may seem delicate and fragile, there’s more to them than meets the eye. Put them together? They’ll become blizzards.

I’ll keep you updated on my social media channels how I’m doing. Whilst this is going to be my main focus for the next month, I’ll still be blogging and posting about The Luke Bright Series and my other works, but maybe less regularly as I need to get the words out! It’s going to be a challenge to fit it in around other commitments but I’m ready to see how it all goes! It’s going to be intense!
