Year 1

February 19th marks a year since I first self-published Atlantic Split. I can’t believe it’s already been a year! So much has happened and changed in my life since then, so this blog is a chance for me to reflect on year one of being a self published author and on how Atlantic Split changed my life and how the war itself changed Luke’s.

In those first seven weeks of 2018, I was so busy trying to get ready for publication. Every day there was something new to do, but eventually, the day arrived. The books themselves had to be uploaded earlier to the channels to ensure they were accepted, but on the morning of February 19th 2018, I made my big reveal.

The sales started coming, people started talking about it on social media, and its addictive checking who’s talking about your book and reading it. That led onto a fantastic first month with a lot of publicity and I absolutely loved it. I couldn’t wait to do it all again for the next book.

It’s also strange to think where Luke is right now in his alternate reality. From last week’s blog, you’ll realise that in his alternate reality timeline he’s actually in book 3 which I’m revealing the cover and title of on March 1st! A lot is still changing in that book, as nothing is ever static, but since he started this journey back in his time of 29th October 2018, he’s been through an awful lot. Two books worth of stuff! His life has changed drastically.

I suppose, that’s just what happens with life. Not necessarily as dramatic as what happened to Luke, but in general life does change. I look at my personal situation too from a year ago to where I am now. I wouldn’t have been able to picture that either. So, in book 3, expect a lot more to change. A huge amount happens and I doubt you’ll be able to guess it before the big reveal. So stay tuned to see what happens on March 1st. It’s going to be another really good day…
