I have an official publication date for At Liberty To Live – Monday 22nd October 2018! With that exciting news now out there, in this week’s blog I’m going to share how I got prepared when I was due to release Atlantic Split and how I’m preparing once again for At Liberty To Live with less than a month to go.

The past few days I’ve been revealing the official launch date on social media so my followers are aware far enough in advance. I will also be sending out personal messages to people I know, family and friends, so they are aware and can spread the word too. Whilst I only gave a week’s notice to people with Atlantic Split (due to the quick turnaround,) I think having a few weeks of hype is a better way to target more people, but we’ll see if I’m correct or not on release date!

I’ll upload the books on to the various websites I’m selling it on – Amazon, iBooks, Google Play Books, Kobo and Barnes & Noble a couple of days before release – just to make sure it’s all ready to go. Sometimes, they go live earlier than anticipated so make sure you keep an eye in case you catch an earlier release! I also start plan my social media posts upon release – it’s better to do it in advance rather than on the day because that’ll be busy enough itself, but also to make sure they’re constructed properly and I can get across everything I want to say.

Then, on the day itself, there’s plenty to do and plenty of messages to receive. It was last time on February 19th and I’m sure it’ll be the same on October 22nd. I just enjoy taking a bit of time to relish in the moment. The fact that the book has finally been published after all the hard work that has gone into it. It’s such a fantastic feeling seeing it up there. Nothing compares.

And then, probably once it’s up and the marketing is under control, I’ll be straight onto book 3! I never stop and it’s great to know that there’s two more books in the series that will follow in the footsteps of their predecessors. The up, down cycle of self publishing is worth every second and I’m so excited to be able to do it again so soon. It’s going to be a crazy few weeks!
