Today is the 1st of August, and as promised, on the 1st of every month, I will do a special blog about how my writing life is going so far and what I hope will happen in the month ahead.

Firstly, I’d like to share some statistics for July. I won’t share my book sales numbers, but let’s just say, it’s been a success so far, and I’m extremely thankful to everyone who has helped me get this far and bought a copy.

July was a busy month for At Liberty To Live. I started sharing quotes from the novel on my social media pages and I completed my proof-read of the first proof. It’s been sent off to my beta readers who will be providing me with feedback within the next few months. I also did a talk at my old school about my books and becoming a writer which was an amazing experience. I’d love to go back again next year!

So, what am I hoping for August? The inspiration blog series from July is complete, so I’ll be uploading different blog posts which will be all individual rather than a blog series. Plus, check my website on the August Bank Holiday (Monday 27th August) as I’ll be exclusively revealing the first chapter of At Liberty To Live! It’s very exciting for me to be able to share this pre-publication and I still believe that it’s the best first chapter in the whole of the series. An exciting month lies ahead.

Finally, with each 1st of the month blog, I’m going to share a photo of a setting in one of my books and explain a little about it, without spoilers of course. As At Liberty To Live is on the horizon, I’m giving a sneak preview into a setting of this book, even before you get to read it!

This is the Gare Du Nord train station in Paris. Whilst I won’t give too much away about what this picture means, it’s another significant setting in At Liberty To Live in a beautiful city, which provides the perfect backdrop to some amazing action and emotional moments in At Liberty To Live.
