May is here, and we’re getting closer to summer. As promised, on the 1st of every month, I will do a special blog about how my writing life is going so far and what I hope will happen in the month ahead.
Firstly, I’d like to share some statistics for April. I won’t share my book sales numbers, but let’s just say, it’s been a success so far, and I’m extremely thankful to everyone who has helped me get this far and bought a copy.

April was an amazing month for The Luke Bright Series because I received the three covers for the next three books after Atlantic Split. Even though, the releases will remain staggered over the next year or so, having the covers makes it all feel a lot more complete and I can’t wait to share them. They look absolutely brilliant. A lot of editing went into book two of the series, and also some to book three. I sent book two off to my proofreader and have been getting it ready for publication later in the year. I’ve also spent time starting to design the graphics for the second book’s promotion, so it’s all been quite exciting.
So, what am I hoping for May? The second book in the series will be sent to the editor and promotion will continue for Atlantic Split, though towards the end of month, I’ll be getting ready for a social media launch of book two in June! I’ve had the best time promoting and seeing reviews come in for Atlantic Split and I can’t wait to get ready to do it all over again and let Luke’s story progress.
Finally, with each 1st of the month blog, I’m going to share a photo of a setting in one of my books and explain a little about it, without spoilers of course.

This beautiful autumn setting is from a scene right near the end of Atlantic Split and makes for the perfect backdrop to the final parts of the book. The calming background contrasts a huge action scene where each one of our trio has a chance to shine. Though the exact location of these woods isn’t specified in the book, I personally know where it is roughly based on, and it’s a place with lots of memories for me.
Atlantic Split is the first book in The Luke Bright Series and is available to purchase NOW! Please follow me on my blog and my social media links below and use the links on my website to purchase a copy if you have not done so. Don’t forget to leave a review! Thank you once again for taking the time to read this blog post.
N.A.K.
